Sail yacht of the year of 43,7m of length presented for Wally Yachts
The loft concept of Esense is evident also in the interiors: the main saloon is a clean open space. The design by Odile Decq combines pad oak wood in akju color for the soles; metallic white for the bulkheads, the cabinets and some details; exposed matt carbon for the hanging cabinets, the sides of the hull and other details; red colour for the details of some joinery; and matt white colour for the ceiling.
The vast main salon looking forward.
The main salon can be further enlarged by incorporating the two guest cabins thanks to the sliding bulkheads, enhancing the versatility concept explored by Wally in previous yachts.
The carbon laminate cupboards around the saloon perimeter hold plates and glasses in sliding compartments, while the vertical panels conceal equipment (refrigerators, entertainment system). The portside ceiling panels conceal the LCD screen.
The starboard side double guest cabin incorporated in the main saloon.
The twin double guest cabins are one to port and one to starboard and both feature two single beds that can be joined together to become a queen size bed.
The main entrance area incorporates a social area with a reading sofa and the bench seat of the third guest cabin and the service area with galley and crew mess. The two areas can be separated by an opaque glass that slices through the free standing storage units.
The 57.25 m (187 10) mast by Hall Spars is made in two seamless tubes and weights 5.5 tons (12,125 lbs). Built in high-modulus carbon, the rig carries four sets of carbon spreaders.
The furling boom is Marten Spars.
The navigation area features the twin helmstations and the central control console.
The helmstations provide for the one-person sail handling system while the control console houses back up controls for the helm as well as the operating systems for the keel lifting, double purchase halyards, backstay tension, furling gear, and navigation screens with electrical systems for navigation lights and deck lights fixed to the lower spreaders.
The social cockpit is at the centre of the yacht, surrounded by teak soft curves, and it can comfortably accommodate up to 12-14 people.
Aft the cockpit is the large skylight leading to the companionway down to the main entrance area of the yacht.
A large dodger supported on a titanium frame and covering the whole cockpit is recessed and concealed in the curved teak.
