Observations

The harbour of Fuengirola accommodates both fishing and pleasure craft. It is located on the sea front, right in the centre of the town. Entering the port does not present difficulties except with strong E/SE winds. For a berth assignment, report to the offices in the NW corner of the marina. Within the port are numerous bars, restaurants and chandlers, as well as a boatyard offering all types of services for yachts. There is also a yacht club dedicated mainly to organising yachting and fishing events. A gym, dance hall, meeting hall, table tennis room, sauna, bar, etc. are other services offered by the club. The town, which has excellent connections to Málaga and its airport, offers a wide variety of goods and services. Warning: Take careful note on the chart of where the beacon should be, in case it is not there. The submerged hazard certainly is!
