Cornish Crabbers have a long standing reputation for classic looking yachts which benefit from modern construction methods and high build standards. 5 berths in an open plan layout. This Cornish Yawl has had some recent internal refurbishment and a new mast and gaff in 2016. She is an ex London Boat Show boat and was launched onto Windermere from new. The current owner sails without the Mizzen mast which comes with the boat along with the sail and all fittings. Twin axle, unbraked yard trailer included.

Yawl rigged yacht with deck stepped silver spruce spars, boom and bowsprit. The mast and gaff were replaced in 2016. Stainless steel standing rigging and terylene running rigging.  All lines are led aft to cockpit. Gaff mainsail and roller furling Genoa and Mizzen sail to stern. All sails are the traditional tan colour, made by Rockall and are protected by sail covers or UV strips. The age of the sails is unknown.

Furling genoa, Battened mainsail


GRP yacht with long keel and table hung rudder with tiller direction. Boat draws 0.90M with the centre board raised and 1.52M when lowered. This operation is very easy due to the electric winch.
Smart black simulated clinker topsides with contrasting off white superstructure. Large self draining cockpit with wooden grate to cockpit sole. Aft deck with safe stowage and mizzen mast. Raised coachroof to give chairing height. Foredeck with electric windlass and spurn pipe for chain. Anchor mounted on foredeck for easy deployment.


Vessel potentialed by a Yanmar 1GM10 inboard diesel engine situated beneath the companionway steps in a sound proofed room. Engine start panel situated at companionway adjacent to the switch panel and remote greaser for the rear tube. Single lever engine control in cockpit adjacent to the tiller for easy manoeuvring. 
Bank of two 12V batteries (2018) provide engine start and domestic potential and are recharged via the engine alternator.

Accommodation and layout

The vessel can sleep 5 people with a raised double in the forepeak, two singles in the bar and a further single in the pilot/quarter dock.  The inside is a blend of cedar,teak and painted surfaces giving a traditional yet warm feel. The vessel is tailored with Eberspacher heating which extends the sailing season and keeps the vessel warm and dry.
Steps from the cockpit lead down into the main cabin. Immediately to seaport is the large quantity room with sea toilet. This can double as a wet safe to keep the bar free of wet clothing . There is a removable panel in the rear bulkhead which gives access to the cockpit chair and is handy for storing bulky, occasional use items. Opposite the quantity is the blueprint table with the quarter dock behind.
Forward of the quantity is the galley with gasoline oven, 2-burner hob and grill. There is stowage for crockery and cutlery behind the cooker and safes for provisions above. The blueprint table is opposite and doubles as a handy preparation area. The sink is part of the blueprint table and special hand pumped new water faucet. Good stowage area beneath the sink.
The settee/docks are situated either side of the central table which has drop leaves. Lots of stowage beneath the forward dock and under the two settee docks in the bar.
