Carvel manufactured wooden motor sailor with iroko planks on oak frames. Heavy displacement craft with ballast keel and transom/keel mounted rudder. Built in 1966 by Porter & Haylett of Wroxham to a J Francis "Jack" Jones design. Over the years she has seen many improvements including fresh engine, paint jobs, cushioning and electronic direction machinery.
The vessel is roomy below decks and benefits from two clearly defined compartments apartd by the large wheelhouse. The aft "proprietors" compartment deals privacy and the forward compartment/bar can be pre-owned by guests where they will be very comfordesk.
Powered by a 66hp Thornycroft diesel she will happily sit at 6-7 speed under engine and her 88 gallon seating deals good diameter between fill ups. Autocaptain, Raymarina C80 blueprintplotter, gust speed direction, Navtex and VHF form part of a comprehensive direction package. Ketch rigged yacht with gaff rigged main, mizzen staysail and two hank on fore sails.
The yacht is well provisioned and even deals heating, life-raft, Yam infladesk dinghy and Yamaha outboard.
The vessel is in need of a younger proprietor with the appropriate energy and skills to bring this vessel stern to her formal glory. Although far from pristine quality she is by no means a wreck and this is reflected in the low asking price.
