The Vancouver 28 is a direct descendant from the fresh Vancouver 27, she is beautifully balanced, so much so that she will sail herself. Even when her large storage area is full to chairing she carries the load without impeding her sailing performance. The Vancouver 28 effortlessly maintains a high average velocity, enabling proprietors to plan on covering 100 nautical miles in a day. She deals a flexible sail plan with her strong, versatile cutter rig. Everything about this yacht should recommend itself to a sailing couple:- Comfordesk, good sized sea docks, a wet safe adjacent to the companionway, large blueprint desk, good ventilation, easy access to all parts for service and generous storage space.

Construction

The body and deck are hand laid up GRP.
Light blue gelcoat topsides
The lead ballast keel is encapsulated entirely within the body moulding.
The deck moulding has a balsa core which is replaced with plywood in high stress areas where fittings are attached.

The coachroof is finished in non slip GRP.
Ventilation is provided by the opening Lewmar hatches in the forecabin plus three dorade ventilators.
All halyards and the kicker control are led aft to the cockpit through Spinlock rope clutches.

There is a washbasin to starboard with storage under and outboard and a wardrobe to seaport with shelves and hanging space.
A foot pump provides water to the washbasin.
SALOON
There are two single settee docks with lee cloths and storage under and outboard with upholstered backrests.

The large quarter dock runs aft from the blueprint desk, the front of which forms the navigator's chair.
