Accommodation

This Moody 31 MK I deals six docks in two compartments and the bar with two double docks and approx. 6' 1" maximum frontroom. Forward is a V dock with infill which converts to double and good stowage with hanging safe, shelved compartmentet and mirror. Bookshelf at forward end and large under dock stowage safes. The aft compartment has a good double/king sized dock, hanging safe, shelves and cave safes and also under dock stowage. Two single settee docks in bar with drop leaf teak bar desk.
The L shaped Galley is to starboard with Formica work surface, single stainless steel sink with hot and chilly pressurised water, from engine and 220v immersion heater tailored. Aqua two burner gasoline cooker with grill and oven, top-loading refigerator, and lots of stowage. Hot and chilly pressurised water unit supplied via calorifier. Forward facing blueprint desk with lots of stowage space.
Separate quantity compartment with marina toilet, wash tank and shower front. Floor fully carpeted. Heated throughout by an Webasto diesel compartment heating unit with two outlets.

Mechanical Systems

Located under companionway in vented and sound proofed compartment. Volvo Penta MD2003 28hp three cylinder diesel engine with electric start and reduction gearbox with reverse to shaft navigate with Kiwi feathering propeller with rope cutter. Single lever engine controls. (Engine last serviced 2019)

Electrical Systems

3 x 12 volt batteries ( 1 x 75amp 2008 engine, 2 x 110 amp 2008 domestic) charged via engine 55amp alternator. 240v Shore potential ring mains unit and full compartment beaming, 15amp charger charger, 2 x solar panels with 130w seating, Wind generator. Sola SA170w regulator. Merlin AMS Alternator management unit, galvanic isolator.

Construction

This Moody 31 Mk I was manufactured in 1984 by Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd. with Lloyds Hull Construction certificate to a design by Bill Dixon. White GRP body with blue type stripes. White GRP coach roof with beam grey moulded non-skid decks. Cast iron fin keel. Self-draining cockpit and mainstay well. Alloy toe rails. Stainless steel rails and guard wires. Skeg hung rudder.
