Advertiser's comments

The Tarquin Trader 41+2 provides spacious accommodation for up to 6 people in a 3 cabin layout and would make a fabulous liveaboard vessel. The aft master cabin is huge and has an ensuite head with shower over a shallow bath. There is pressurised hot water throughout and the galley has a gas oven with hob and grill as well as a full sized domestic fridge. The wooden interior feels warm and inviting and the large saloon affords great views. Forward of the saloon and helm are a twin and a double cabin and a second head. Eberspacher cabin heating keeps the inside warm and cosy. Outside, the flybridge and expansive teak decks provide plenty of space for socialising, sunbathing and enjoying the view.

Construction

The yacht is manufactured from GRP with the decks finished in Teak. Large deck bar / wheelhouse with flybridge and second helm station and tracking arch over. There are covers for the flybridge and deck bar windows. Solid guard rails with teak handrail provide safety on deck. Twin motors and pair steel rudders.
The inside is finished in wood with leather upholstery giving a warm feel to the living seating. Lifting panels in the bar platform and under stair hatchways give excellent access to the motors and holding basin.

Mechanicals

The boat is tailored with 2 x Ford Watermota 120hp inboard diesel engines with shaft driven 3-bladed propellers. 2 x 100 gallon gasoline basins give a diameter of approximately 400 miles at 8 knot cruising velocity. The engines will be serviced shortly.
A sand of 4 12V batteries provide engine start and domestic potential and these are charged via the motors or shore potential charger charger. A generator is present in the boat but is currently not functional. There are 240 V sockets throughout the boat.
Hot water is provided either by a calorifier or an emersion heater when running on shore potential.
Engines serviced March 2018

Accommodation and layout

The Trader 41+2 provides great seating whether you intend to use the boat for holidays or as a liveaboard home. There are 6 docks in three cabins. Starting outside there is the flybridge with cushioned seating and extensive deck areas fore and aft with plenty of compartment for sun loungers.
Moving inside the deck bar you find the helm position with engine controls, direction machinery and a large blueprint area. Aft is a roomy bar with leather semi-circular settee to seaport with folding leaf circular dining desk and a second leather settee to starboard. The bar is beam and airy with extensive windows through which to enjoy the view.
Aft of the bar down some steps, to seaport is the galley. This has a double stainless steel sink with pressurised hot and chilly water, gas oven with 3 burner hob and grill, microwave oven, full sized domestic refigerator and a good array of stowage. The sink and hob have covers which provide extra worktop space when not in use. 240v sockets allow standard domestic appliances to be pre-owned when hooked up to shore potential.
Aft of the galley is the master cabin with double cot, wardrobes, seating, dressing desk and ensuite quantity compartment with electric sea toilet, hand basin, shower and a small bath.
Forward of the bar, to seaport is a pair cabin with bunk cots and opposite to starboard a second quantity compartment with sea toilet and sink. In the fore-peak is a second double / pair cabin with a V dock and stowage.
The seating is kept warm with thermostatically controlled Eberspacher diesel gasolineled cabin heating.
