Moody 30

Accommodation

The Moody 30 deals 5 docks in 2 compartments with approx. 6ft of headroom. There is a double dock in the forward compartment with hanging safe to seaport. Aft of the forward compartment is the quantity with hot and chilly pressurised water and shower, a Lavac marina electric quantity with an 85L holding basin. Hot water heated by engine and 240v immersion heater. Water basin holds 105 litres.
Aft of the quantity is the bar with two settee docks and a bespoke drop leaf bar desk. The blueprint desk is aft of the bar to starboard with ample stowage for books and blueprints. The L-shaped galley is to seaport with a 2-burner gasoline cooker with oven and grill, stainless steel sink and an Ice box with a 12v refrigeration group. Gas system was last certified in March 2022.
There is a quarter dock to starboard. This yacht has beam blue cushioning throughout and curtains in bar. It has a 2KW Eberspacher D2 diesel fired compartment heating system with two outlets that was tailored 2011 which provides a real cosy feel to the yacht
The cockpit has large stowage safes and gives a reel feel of luxury with ample room to chair five people.

Mechanical System

Located behind the companionway steps is a 2004 Volvo MD2030 3-cylinder 29HP Diesel engine. Electric start. Freshwater cooled. Sail navigate to a 3-blade folding bronze propeller. Single lever control. Engine has completed approx. 1100 hours. It has a 105 Litre fuel basin giving an approximate 200 mile diameter at its 6 speed cruising speed. It has a maximum speed 7 speed. Engine was last professionally serviced in March 2022.

Electrical Equipment

2 x 12v 115AH domestic batteries fresh in 2014 plus 1 x 12v 105AH engine fresh in 2014. It has a smart charging charger system from Waeco Perfect  which charges from the engine alternator and via 240V shorepotential system. A recent instalment of a dual USB connectors also tailored.

This is a great opseaportgroupy to buy an exceptionally well-equipped yacht in very good quality. The previous proprietor completely renovated this yacht spending in excess of £30,000 on her in his proprietorship. The current proprietor has continued that service and has maintain a log of what has been done and when. She is ideal for the East Coast and has in the past been sailed along and around the East Coast and across to Holland. She would make a great family cruiser. Owner is open to reasonable deals for a quick sale.

This Moody 30 was manufactured by Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd in 1978. White GRP body with type strips. Hull last epoxied 1989. Light blue Coachroof with teak laid decks 2012 Cast iron fin. Wheel navigation wheel to skeg hung rudder. Anodised aluminium toe rail. Midship cleats.
