Sloop from the year 2002 - 11m length - in Hampshire (United Kingdom)
Second hand boat
Very rare in the UK market, high-quality Dutch-built & designed centre cockpit cruising yacht. Lightly used & well maintained with incredible interior space and internal headroom for her length. FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS: With just two UK owners from new, ‘SEA SENSE’ has been well cared for and lightly used for coastal family cruising under both of her ownerships. She provides a very rare opportunity to acquire a UK VAT Paid version of these very high-quality Dutch built comfortable cruising yachts. Easily handled by a couple thanks to her in-mast furling and furling genoa, and with an incredible interior accommodation for a 36’ cruising boat, she makes for the ideal family or two couple boat, perfect for either shorter coastal cruising or when time permits, long-distance adventures in safety and comfort. Her fixed windscreen with replaced sprayhood helps shelter the cockpit from the worst of the weather whilst underway. Her replaced cockpit tent means the cockpit can become an extension of the cabin when moored and the weather is not so good. Her 39hp Yanmar diesel engine has been serviced annually and her Saildrive driven Flex-o-fold 3-blade folding propellor provides plenty of reliable performance when required. has the benefit of Treadmaster non-slip to her decks, which provides a safe foothold but without the on-going maintenance and cost required of teak. There is plentiful storage via a walk-in storage area aft of the heads plus a large lazarette can be accessed at the stern. She has for a vessel of her length and type, a surprisingly good turn of speed under sail with a comfortable motion when in rough seas whilst also having a draft of approximately 1.6m with her elongated fin keel, means that she can access many quite shallow anchorages when required. Her interior joinery and upholstery are virtually “as new” having been cared for, lightly used and blinds and curtains in place to keep the sun out when she’s not in use. Her specification highlights include:-

CONSTRUCTION
RCD Status:
It is our understanding that boat is CE certified for type A (unlimited ocean voyages) for up to 6-persons.
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
Hull and deck: sandwich development with high condition materials including; carbon fibre composite, airex and vinylester resin. The vinylester resin contributes to the body strength and has a short shrinking period so that there is no deformation during development. The neopentyiglycol (NPG) gel coat, just like the vinylester resin, has a very high density and by the use of these products, osmosis is limited to a minimum. The body is tailored with a watertight collision bulkfront. The shroud chainplates and mooring cleats are securely laminated into the body and are strengthened with aluminium plates. C-Yacht sailing boats are manufactured using an inner shell that follows the standard body shape and supseaports the inside development. Using an inner shell contributes to the strength and stiffness of the boat and also provides functional isolation. Hull and shells are laid up under controlled conditions so the styrene level is kept very low. GRP is “White RAL9003” / off-white coloured body, compartment superstructure and deck. Cabin superstructure with blue coloured strip bonded into the gelcoat. Black rubber bumper to all sides. Black coloured upper and lower striping to body bonded into the gelcoat. Fixed windscreen. Easy to maintain Treadmaster non-slip to side decks and fore deck. GRP moulded raised toe rail/bulwarks. Port and starboard deck drains.
Keel & Rudder:
Cast Iron elongated fin keel with bulb profile to the bottom, attached to the body by stainless steel keel bolts and plates. The keel is integrated with the body so that it provides an equal load distribution. Standard cast iron 1.6m gust keel of approximately 3,000kgs Deep balanced rudder.
