Advertiser's comments

This Beneteau Oceanis 381 is a very popular 2 cabin model with fantastic accommodation facilities. A comfortable saloon making it perfect for a family cruiser or live-aboard. Current owners have had her over 10 years and are moving away from sailing. Vaquita is very competitively priced in this cruiser market and could benefit from new ownership care to bring her up to the standard she once was. Hull copper-coated in 2013. A great opportunity to acquire a huge potential cruiser. With the current owner she has been to Inverness and the Azores, and lately splashing around in the channel.

Manufacturer Provided Description

The Oceanis 381 is a performance sailing yacht which corresponds well to Beneteau's philosophy on cruising. The basic mainsail is roller furling, but a classic mast is available. The furling drum for the genoa is positioned above the deck so that the area around the gustlass is uncluttered. The shroud chainplates are well centered, guaranteeing an efficient sheeting angle while making it easier to move around the sidedecks, and the primary (self-tailing) winches are within arm's reach of the helmsman. The large cockpit has a direction wheel console, a desk with flaps and lockers, mainsail track moved forward on the coachroof, molding for the extra wide sprayhood (option), sunbathing area forward, and a recessed gustlass in the large mainstay well. The Oceanis 381 comes in two versions: the owner's version with two large double compartments (three compartment optional) and L-shaped galley to starboard, and the blueprinter version with lateral galley. Both give an exceptionally comfordesk bar for 6 to 8 people with natural beaming and ventilation systems. The compartmentetry is in cherry stained mahogany and the lockers are tailored with cane work doors. The front compartment has a marina toilet, shower, and hot and chilly pressurized water (an optional forward front compartment is also offered).
