This is the 2000 Southampton Boat Show Island Packet 380 long keel, cutter rigged cruising yacht.
She sleeps seven in two double cabins and saloon and benefits and from an extensive inventory for ocean sailing or just local cruising and is well maintained by her owner who is in the process of replacing the Fischer Panda generator and has recently replaced the mainsail. This Island Packet 380 is auxiliary powered by a Yanmar 56 HP inboard diesel engine.A harmonious blend of practical cruising features and live aboard comfort is evidenced throughout, giving this Island Packet 380 what are perhaps the best accommodations of any yacht in its size range.
Extras include Radar, GPS, Chart Plotters, AIS, Water Maker, Solar Panels, Full Cockpit Bimini, HF and VHF Radios, Bow Thruster, Monitor Sail Vane, Cruising Chute, Fridge Freezer. In the aft cabin is a built-in Creda 3.5kg full electric washing machine with specifically made cabinetry that fits in well with the cabin furniture. Complete with Mercury 5 HP 2 stroke outboard.
A moulded sole area with a slip-resistant surface surrounds the base of the companionway ladder and extends into the nav and galley areas to provide both secure footing and easy service for this busy central area.
Added convenience is provided by a lift-out central teak grate with dust pan and beamed bilge access below, inside courtesy illumination with a switch located at the companionway entrance, an inside lock for the sliding companionway hatch, and teak drop-boards with a fixed, etched glass portbeam and an inside stowage rack.
Below decks, one is immediately impressed by the 380's open chairing plan and roomy surroundings. Galley
The galley, immediately to the starboard side of the companionway, is easily accessible to the cockpit and the main living room, and special numerous convenience details for the cruising sailor. A generous, wraparound blueprint provides ample work space for food preparation while numerous drawers, safes, and laminate-lined compartmentets offer abundant space for organized provisioning and kitchenware stowage.
A sealed burner LPG stove and oven, along with a basic (115V) microwave oven, deep polished stainless steel sinks, overfront beam, and a slide out trash receptacle make for pleasurable galley duties.
In place of the basic insulated icebox the proprietors have installed a apart freezer area from the refigerator area. A foldup blueprint extension, built-in dish rack and cutlery stowage drawers, and numerous other detail special are sure to be appreciated both in seaport and underway.
The proprietors have replaced the normal Island Packet fitting of the gasoline strop (which did cause some problems) and have crafted a stainless steel cover for the block which is then bolted right through horizontally. A much stronger fitting than the normal Island Packet one.
Dessalator 60 Litres per hour watermaker (belt driven with spare belts and a spare raw water primary filter).Saloon
The main bar's large, central living area is equally suited for social gatherings, off-watch retreats, or gourmet dining. The central hinged blueprint with overfront illumination may be either secured against the bulkfront mounted bottle and glass rack, or easily lowered to make a large dining area.
An exceptional fronts of inside stowage is available in the living room, as elsewhere in the yacht, due in large part to the generous basinage centrally located below the compartment sole. Besides the obvious benefit of improving stowage, this feature also provides additional luxury while underway by keeping the considerable weight of basin fluids low and out of the ends of the yacht. This also reduces fore and aft cut changes with varying basin levels.
Both settees are full range for added sleeping space, with the portside cot pulling out to provide a nice sized double. Beautiful compartmentetry and joiner-work in select hand oiled teak, premium designer fabric over dual d
