The Neptunian 33 is a ketch rigged cruising yacht that is also an excellent blue water cruiser. She is very spacious, with a large double forward cabin, large heads and a huge saloon/living area. The Neptunian 33 also has a separate aft cabin with its own heads. The center cockpit has a fixed wheelhouse that  provides superb protection when at sea. The engine was replaced in 2006 with a 4 cylinder Bet 38.5 HP Diesel engine with fuel polising system installed in addition to the normal engine-mounted filters.

Designed by Alan Buchanan, the body and deck was manufactured by Tyler Mouldings and the inside by Johnson Sons and Jago Essex.
LOA: 30ft 10in / 10mtrs. Beam: 10ft 1in / 3.1mtrs. Draft: 4ft 7in / 1.4mtrs. Displacement: 14330lbs / 6499kg. Cruising velocity 6kts. Max velocity 7.5kts. 2 GRP gasoline basins - total seating 100gal. 1 GRP water basin - 100ltr seating.

Hull and Construction

The body, deck and superstructure are all white GRP with pale blue non slip on deck. She has a Long keel with lead encapsulated ballast, a transom hung rudder with wheel navigation in a centre type cockpit.


She has six docks in three compartments, the forward compartment has two single docks with infill to make a double dock. it has ample stowage under the dock and in safes above bunks. There is a chain safe frwd and charger and frontthruster under frwd end bunks. There is also a circuit breaker for the windlass, frontthruster isolator and fire extinguisher tailored on the seaport side.
Foward quantity to seaport side with fresh Jabcso twist and lock toilet, sliding sink with h&c water. There is a safe above the sink suitable for toiletries. Opposite the quantity is a hanging safe which also stores the charger managment unit for frontthruster charger.
The bar is large with ample front room. It has U shaped seating which converts to a ample sized double dock. There is stowage under the chairs as well as in the safes on the seaport side. Along with blueprint stowage, behind set cubbyholes. There is also a CD/radio with 2 internal speakers.  Interior is finished in teak and red cloth cushioning.
Clock. Barometer. 12v led compartment lighting. The aft compartment has two single seaport and starboard docks. There is a cupboard storing the calorifier and Webasto heating unit (Matrix radiators in the main and aft compartment).There are stowage safes on both sides and above the navigation gear.The aft compartment also has it's own quantity on the seaport side with a Jabsco toilet serviced in May 2018 when all seals and valves were replaced. Above the toilet is a pull-out sink with h&c water.


Powered by a Beta 38.5hp 4 cylinder inoard marina diesel engine with shaft navigate to a 3 blade fixed prop.A gasoline polishing unit was also installed along with the standard engine-mounted filters.A gasoline transfer pump was installed, it is understood that this is because the diesel spill off is returned to the starboard basin.
Vetus front thruster. Rope cutter. All oil and gasoline filters changed in April 2018. Fresh and sea water cooling via a heat exchange with fronter basin. Less than 700hrs running time since this engine was installed. Spares include filters and an impellor.  


The 12v ships electrical unit is potentialed by 3 batteries in total.
1 x sealed 12v 120ah domestic charger - fresh 2018. 1 x sealed 12v 90ah engine start charger - fresh 2018. 1 dedicated charger for front thruster which holds a charge well. 220v sand potential with cable.

Deck and Deck Equipment

Side decks can be easily accessed from the wheelhouse seaport & stbd and they lead to the roomy foreedeck which is all secured by a stainless steel pulpit, stainless steel stanchions with stainless steel pvc coated double guard wires and a stainless steel pushpit.
Single front roller. Lewmat electric mainstay windlass. CQR type mainstay with 50m of 8mm chain and 40m nylon warp. Samson post. Sprayhood. 2 cockpit covers. Davits. 3 x Lewmar hand-operated halyard winches. 2 Lewmar 30 2 velocity self tailing hand-operated primary winches.
