“Ayesha II was manufactured for us at Oyster Yachts Wroxham in 2012 as a fast cruising yacht with enough space for an increasing number of grandchildren! Her performance has always compared well to our previous Swan 48. With her fully battened mainsail and large overlapping Genoa (excellent electric Reckmann furler) Ayesha II combines velocity with luxurious chairing and good looks. Yes, she is a little more effort than an in mast furling yacht but this is more than repaid by her performance and of course gives a fun edge to regattas!
Ayesha II has crossed the Atlantic twice (ARC 2013 and 2019) and the Pacific once on the Oyster 2017 World Rally, regularly achieving distances in excess of 200 miles a day.
The yacht has a very comprehensive index of spares as should be the case with a long distance cruising yacht, including even a stern up main directional computer. We have also just had the main engine timing belts changed (1000 hours before this will be needed again) and a fresh turbo tailored. Throughout our proprietorvessel we have maintained the Oyster suggested maintenance schedules with the resultant excellent reliability.
In 2019 we had electric davits tailored and a fresh AB aluminium floored rib plus 20 hp electric start outboard.
We have sailed some 28000 miles with Ayesha II with countless amazing “once in a lifetime” experiences including to some extremely remote spots of the World. Throughout she has taken care of us and never been found wanting, it is time for another proprietor to have these same opseaportunities.”
Owners of Ayesha II since 2013.

1 . CONSTRUCTION
HULL NUMBER - Oyster 575/16.
HULL CONSTRUCTION - The body is a composite development, moulded using a combination of vinylester and polyester resin with the outer topside finish in a white features NPG gelcoat.
Laminate material comprises a combination of E-Glass, Kevlar and Carbon Fibre featuresly crafted for the yacht by the Oyster Design Team’s own structural engineers. This ‘custom’ laminate deals significant weight savings, strength and stiffness advantages over a standard GRP development.
Topside laminate incorporates a high-tech, balsa-cored, E-glass/Carbon sandwich above the waterline, for additional strength, stiffness and insulation.
In addition, below the waterline, the body features a monolithic (single-skin) composite laminate, with an Aramid/Kevlar layer, reinforced with a matrix of stringers and floors. Combined with BS1088 standard marina-ply structural bulkfronts, this produces a robust structure, with excellent strength to weight qualities and proven longevity.
Additional reinforcements are included in way of the keel recess, the keel longitudinals, mast bulkfront, P-bracket, forestay and body stringers.
Limber holes and/or tubes are installed at appropriate points. Stringers, bulkfront landings and floors are formed over a non-structural, inert, polyurethane foam.
HULL FINISH - ‘White’ body with cove line and double boot top lines in standard Oyster ‘Blue.’
DECK CONSTRUCTION - Moulded
