First design by Frers from Nautor, this boat combined classical elegance and efficient shapes. At the time, I would not have believed anybody if they told me that I would once be the happy owner of this boat. It is what happened 35 years later. We bought Formosa in Italy, with an ambitious cruising program, a will to be able to face severe weather conditions and giving our guest comfort and space. In 6 years, we have sailed 5000 nautical miles, half in the Mediterranean and the other half in the Atlantic. Formosa is beautiful: low freeboard, stretched lines, no barbecue, radar or bimini that would break the spell. Formosa is identical to her first day: the previous owner wished for this when he did a thorough refit in 2008. We have cultivated this spirit. Formosa is a true sailor. Formidable in light weather, Formosa also honours the breeze and 9 knots reaching is common. When we returned in the Atlantic, the boat sailed the 2300 n miles at an average of 7 knots. Our record: 17 knots downwind in an “ventilated” Bay of Biscay. Precise at the tiller, passage in the swell, easy to adjust: a pure pleasure. Our boat was friendly and festive: the large cockpit allows for 8 or more to eat together. Our record: 20 guests on the deck around and a 10-litre bowl of Gin & Tonic… Our next boat? At the moment it looks like a little castle in the middle of a refit. http://*****.*** Divers / Résumé / Commentaires SWAN 51, 1981, Yanmar 4JH4 HTE (2016), 110 cv (1150 h), Propulseur d'étrave 2007, Version d'aménagement intérieur 3 cabines + pointe avant, teck 2010, Taud de soleil (mât à barre d'écoute), Coussins de cockpit, Guindeau électrique - Lofrans 2021, Gréement dormant Rod - 2008, Bas haubans 2018, Grand-voile full batten 3 ris dacron - North Sails 2020, Rail de guindant de grand voile + chariots de lattes - Antal, Enrouleur de génois avec tambour sur le pont - Reckmann, Pilote automatique in board - Raymarine - 2009, Centrale de navigation - B & G Hercules 2000, GPS / lecteur de carte à la table à carte - Raymarine 2018 - Raymarine Axiom 12 2018, AIS - 2018, Unité réfrigérante et conservateur négatif - 2009, 8 batteries service 12 V 2018, Chauffage WEBASTO, Eclairages intérieurs à Leds.
