Construction

Sothis was crafted by Laurent Giles and manufactured in 1975 by Westerly Yachts Ltd. 
She has a blue (resprayed) GRP body with a  white superstructure and non-slip decks, iron bilge keels, tiller direction with a skeg hung rudder and a self draining cockpit.

Accommodation

The Westerly  Centaur 'Sothis' has the 'B' layout offering up to 5 docks in 2 cabins with approximately 6'1" standing headroom. Forepeak with double vee dock, stowage areas, hatch to fore deck and seaportholes. Heads room with a  marina toilet ( new in 2021) to seaport and a hanging safe to starboard. Linear galley forward to starboard provisioned with a gimballed 2 burner gas cooker with grill, hand-operatedly pumped chilly water supply to galley sink, coolbox and stowage. Dinette to seaport with quarter dock aft. Second larger quarter dock and single chair aft to starboard.

Mechanical Systems

Beta Marine BD722 3-cylinder 20hp diesel engine (1999) located under the cockpit sole. Indirect cooling. Single lever controls with electric start. Shaft navigate to a fixed 3 blade propeller. 10 gallon gasoline basin.
