Designed by Paperini to attend the various Mediterranean championships, equipped with an efficient sail plan and performance orientated keel and rudder profiles make Grand Soleil 40's sailing skills very similar to those of thoroughbred racing yachts. However, in line with the Grand Soleil philosophy, the interior and the fittings have been designed and developed to encourage comfortable cruising. The layout includes two spacious cabins, one aft the other forward, both with double bed and plenty of storage. Toilet with separated tube, correspondence the charter table are aft, immediately to the sides of the entrance. The dinette (not convertible) is in front of the linear galley. The cockpit in typical Mediterranean style, is functional and ergonomic. The engine is a 40HP Yanmar with 1940 hours. The sails are in good conditions. The mainsail is from 2015, genoa from 2014 and jib 2018. The boat has also been equipped with a gennaker with sock and storm jib . Regatta sails included: 1 Main sail, 1 Genoa L, 2 Genoa M, 1 Jib 3, 2 Spi. Other Equipment: Hydraulic back stay Navtec, 3 blade folding propeller FLEXOFOLD, rod Tuff Luff and 1 electric winch on deck house. Last works performed:

2019 New Dyform Shrouds, New battery charger, electric wires replacement, new pulley and propeller hub.
2020 New genoa lines in Dynema, Interior and mast led lights
2021 new seacocks, new sail drive gasket, galvanizzation Delta anchor + 50 m chain 8”, new 100W solar panel + charger controller.
2022 the 3 batteries were replaced (105 Amp each, one motor, two in parallel services)
