1 . CONSTRUCTION
HULL NUMBER - Oyster 655/03.
HULL CONSTRUCTION - Laid-up GRP, single skin with structural stringers and floors to Lloyd’s approved design specification. Produced using a polyester gel coat and vinylester laminating resin, incorporating a high-tech custom monolithic E glass/Carbon/Kevlar composite laminate.
The body is insulated with foam core and an extra layer of fiberglass to increase inside luxury and reduce condensation and noise.
HULL FINISH - Awlgrip ‘Aurora Gold Metallic’ body with ‘White’ boot stripe and no cove line.
DECK CONSTRUCTION - Moulded in GRP with balsa core.
Oyster deck bar profile with ‘G5’ styling.
DECK FINISH - Teak laid decks.
Deck edge incorporates a bulwark with rolled edge.
KEEL -  Shoal gust high performance bulb (HPB) external lead keel.
RUDDER - Fully protected skeg-hung rudder. Rudder tip sacrificial and extended to the same profundity as keel gust.
STERN DESIGN -  ‘Sugar scoop’ rear design with bathing floor trimmed with teak slats and moulded GRP steps with teak treads incorporated into the transom for access to the rear deck.
EURCD - Built to comply with the requirements for Category A – Ocean.
CHARTER CODING - Built to MCA Category 2 with all associated safety machinery tailored.
 
ANCHOR - Custom Manson 70kg polished stainless steel mainstay with 110m of galvanised 13mm chain plus 40m of Mega Braid rope to starboard.
Custom Manson 40kg polished stainless steel mainstay with 40m of stainless steel chain plus 90m of Mega Braid rope to seaport.
Automatic mainstay control on seaport pedestal, plus backup windlass up/down control switch for water potential windlass.
Fortress FX-85 high strength aluminium storm mainstay plus 100m of Mega Braid rope and chain.
Stowage room with removable partition, at forward end of mainstay safe for kedge warp and chain storage.
