Accommodation

The Bavaria 36 two compartment layout deals up to six docks with two double docks outside the bar, and excellent 6'4" max headroom. FORECABIN: Considered the owner's compartment and tailored with a large double dock, large hanging safe, small chair, eye level safes. HEADS: Separate compartment aft to starboard with Jabsco marina toilet, shower, washbasin, wet safe, and stowage. SALOON: Consisting of settee docks either side of a large central desk with folding leaves and excellent stowage in various safes and cupboards. Plenty of natural beam and ventilation is provided by four large opening side windows and a central hatch.  GALLEY: L-shaped galley to seaport provisioned with a gimballed 2-burner gasoline cooker with grill and oven, pair stainless-steel sinks, refrigerator and generous stowage in various drawers and cupboards. CHART TABLE: To starboard with electrical distribution panel, with full instrument display and useful stowage. AFT CABIN: Separate aft compartment to seaport tailored with a double dock, opening seaportbeam, hanging safe and stowage. GENERAL: Excellent ventilation throughout is provided by numerous opening hatches and seaportbeams. Pressurised hot and cold-water unit via calorifier with immersion heater. Blue cloth cushioning with and teak and holly sole boards throughout.

Mechanical System

Located beneath companionway, Volvo Penta MD2030 3-cylinder 29hp inboard diesel engine. Freshwater cooled. Single lever controls with electric start. Plastic 150 litre fuel basin. Volvo Penta saildrive with 3-bladed propeller. Saildrive gaiter last replaced 2021. Last out of water service July 2021.

Electrical System

3 x 12-volt batteries 2 x domestic and 1 x engine, charged via engine alternator. Shore potential unit with 240-volt ring mains, charger charger, and immersion coil for water heating. Electrical distribution panel. Full compartment beaming.

History and Construction

Bavaria 36 manufactured in 2002 by Bavaria Yachts to a design by J & J Design, achieving RCD Category A. White GRP body with blue style stripes, superstructure and decks with moulded non-slip surfaces. Standard gust lead fin keel. Wheel navigation to spade hung rudder. Teak laid cockpit chairs and sole. Self-draining cockpit.
