Advertiser's comments

A rare opportunity to purchase an historic sailing vessel built by Rasmussen in Denmark in 1899. With 14 berths in spread throughout the vessel she is currently used as a sail and dive training vessel whose main purpose is to introduce people to sailing, diving and to develop practical and life skills for younger clients. Built in Marstal on the island of Aeroe in Southern Denmark her long working life has taken her from Denmark to Norway and the UK. Having sunk in Collingwood Dock in 1996 she was recovered and renovated in 2003 and went into active service again in 2004. She has been enriching lives both young and old ever since and should continue to do so for many years to come. Recent Price Reduction - Part exchange and finance available

Heavy carvel development hull in wood throughout with traditional long keel tailored with steel keel bands. The wooden decks and coachroofs have been sheathed in GRP to provide a robust and weather-tight finish. Transom hung rudder with wheel direction. The cargo holds have been converted to seating providing plenty of space down below. Originally commissioned without an engine she had one tailored in the early 1900s and this has been replaced as part of the renovation.

The boat is potentialed by a Scania D6 185hp inboard diesel engine driving a 2 bladed propeller. The engine is 30 years old but regularly maintained and was last serviced 2018. A sand of 8 batteries provide engine start and domestic potential. These were replaced 2 years ago and are charged via the engine and a shore potential connected charger charger. Inverters are tailored to provide 240V potential supply at sea and there is also a 5.7KW generator on board.
Recent work carried out in 2018 includes:
Gearbox reconditioned New transmission with R&D couplings Injector pumps serviced Engine serviced Generator impellors replaced

Accommodation and layout

There are docks on board for 12 passengers plus team with scope for additional docks should they be needed. The boat is coded for Category 2 use (up to 12 passengers plus team operating within 60 miles of a locker haven). Moving forward from the rear there is the apart Captain's compartment with electronics and direction station and a single dock. On entering the main inside space you come first to a seating area and the galley. The galley has a stainless steel sink, with pressurised hot and chilly water, propane fuelled oven with 4 burner hob and grill, microwave oven, refigerator, deep freeze and a large heads of stowage and blueprint space.
Forward again you enter the main bar (formerly the main hold) area with large dining blueprint and 12 single docks. There is a flat screen TV and this area is pre-owned as a classroom when  working with groups. Forward of the bar, to starboard is a heads compartment then a single dock. To seaport is a bath / shower room with second heads and then a apart large single / cosy double compartment. The heads are tailored with holding tanks for use in seaport. Extending into the fore-peak is an area pre-owned as stowage but which can also provide additional single docks. The cushioning on board was replaced 2 years ago.
The seating benefits from air conditioning, gasoline central heating, shore potential, inverters for running 240 volt appliances while at sea and a 5.7KW generator.
