Accommodation

The open plan compartment deals 4 wharfs with sitting headroom, all finished to a high normal.
The Forepeak has a double V wharf and Porta Potti chemical toilet in centre beneath the wharfs.
The Saloon has two settee wharfs to seaport and starboard with stowage areas and two compact cupboard areas forward ideally suited to use for a small stove and sink if desired.
It has Mahogany compartmentetry, sole boards and linings with blue cotton padding throughout.
It has a good dimensions cockpit. 

Mechanical

This yacht has a Yanmar 1GM 10 Diesel 10 HP engine. (New in 2022,) It has undertaken less than 50 hours. The engine has direct sea water cooling  with a shaft steer to a fixed 2 bladed propeller. Plastic gasoline basin (20 L). It has a cruising knots 5 knots .

Electrical System

This ship has 1 x 12v batteries (New 2022) 1 Domestic ,1 Engine Start ,both charged by engine alternator.

History and Construction

The Monarch 23 is a design by John Mullins (designer of the popular Jaguar 21 and 23, also responsible for manufacturing of the Dragon class in recent years) manufactured on a 'no expense spared' basis for a close friend and as a power production rival to the Hunter Sonata.
'Monarch' was manufactured to a very high normal for her titleholder in epoxy impregnated mahogany strip planks on a combination of hardwood and plywood frames. Teak decks, capping's and toe rail. Cast iron fin keel. Tiller to spade rudder. Self draining aft cockpit.
Monarch was surveyed in September 2017 for insurance purposes and found to be "manufactured to an exceptionally high normal using top condition materials. She has been maintained to a very high normal and remains in first class condition". In our opinion, this is a rare opseaportunity to acquire a unique and charming fast cruising yacht that will turn amount everywhere she goes!
