Cabin boats are one of the most popular categories of boats in the Mediterranean and come in two forms: the small, sports boats also known as cuddies, with a cabin in the bow and basic accommodation for two people; and the more spacious family cruisers, with the objective of providing comfort to the passengers. The most common layout for these boats is the open cockpit and closed bow where the main cabin is located, but there are also cruisers with the cabins at the stern too.

Whether to choose a cabin boat or cruiser depends a lot on the type of navigation and use you intend to make of your boat. A cuddy has more of a sporty look, speed and performance and enables you to spend a few nights on board. Space and comfort are the main features of the family cruisers, you can spend several days on board with family or friends and enjoy the stern saloon, a comfortable cockpit, a sundeck on the bow and a space inside for cooking and sleeping. Both cuddies and cruisers come in a variety of lengths and layouts, as well as offering lots of options to personalise them.
