The RIB is a hard hull boat, also called a keel, with inflatable elements on the sides which function as if they were outer hulls and, especially as shock absorbers. Although they initially became popular as rigid military work boat, today it is a segment that is growing in the recreational boat mark for their power, stability and adaptability. The RIB is quite an affordable type of boat, especially if you want to buy a basic model, although there are also models with increasingly powerful motors and even elegant ones.

RIB boats are very versatile, and when it comes to buying one there are a lot of extras to choose from to configure and customise the boat according to your lifestyle. If what you like is fishing, diving or other water sports, a RIB with an open cover will be a good choice. But if you want to spend time with family on board and enjoy the sun for a day cruise it will be very useful to have more seating and a bathroom.
